Church sermon topics
The following area churches have announced their sermon topics for Sunday services.
• Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville: “Two Questions” will be the 10 a.m. sermon by the Rev. Seth Filburn and Youth Group members.
• Cadiz Presbyterian Church: “Infrancaninaphilia!!”
• Cove Presbyterian Church, Weirton: The 11 a.m. sermon will be entitled “Lessons from Zacchaeus,” given by Elder Bobby Jones.
• Finley Church, Steubenville: The 10:45 a.m. sermon will be entitled “What’s in A Name?” from the sermon series “The Red Letters — A Deep Dive into the Sermon on the Mount.” The Rev. Greg Kasler will give the sermon. The 6 p.m. service will be prayer.
• Harmony Church of Mingo Junction: “What You Believe Matters: Crucified, Died and Buried.”
• Rush Run Community Chapel, Rayland: “Those Feelings of Inadequacy.”
• St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “Fullness in Christ Jesus.”
• Toronto First Methodist Church: “Asking, Seeking, Knocking: The Power of Prayer.”
• Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “No Fooling God.”
• Weirton First Christian Church: “A.S.K.”
• Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church: “Entering God’s Rest.”
• Wintersville Methodist Church: “Bible Alive 2025 — The Life that is Truly Life.”
• Zion United Church of Christ, Steubenville: “Unpacking the Lord’s Prayer,” will be ther sermon delivered by guest pastor, the Rev. David Brown.
