St. Joseph to hold rummage sale
WEIRTON — St. Joseph the Worker School, located across from Madonna High School, will hold its annual rummage and garage sale July 31-Aug. 2 in the school’s gymnasium.
The sale will feature gently-used merchandise, including housewares, collectibles, crystal and glassware, dishes, furniture, vintage items, toys and sporting goods. Officials stated the items are priced reasonably and the sale will offer something for everyone. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 31-Aug. 1 and from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 2. Wheels and Meals event set
EAST LIVERPOOL — The car and motorcycle show Wheels and Meals is scheduled to take place from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Presented by the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association, the event will feature dash plaques, drawings and People’s Choice trophies. Activities will take place at 216 E. Fourth St., centered at the alumni association’s clock tower.
Food and drinks will be available throughout the day. A rain date has been set for Sunday, officials noted. The Full Circle Band will perform at the Party at the Tower from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Proceeds from the day’s events will benefit ELHSAA, which supports East Liverpool High School students, Firefighters’ Local No. 24 and its Toys for Tots program, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 29 and its Cops and Kids Program and the Elks Lodge No. 258 and its Kids’ Christmas Committee.

Story hour set

Park to hold story hour
WELLSBURG — A special story time will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 1 at the Brooke Hills Park shelter, located across from the swimming pool. The event is free to attend. A free lunch will be served and a craft will be available for children.

Pajama party story hour
WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Public Library will hold a combined story hour and pajama party at 11 a.m. July 30. The party will have a sleepytime theme, featuring a Bluey story.

Community Fun Day planned
STEUBENVILLE — In honor of the African-American Heritage Festival, the fifth-annual Family Reunion Community Fun Day event is returning to the area. The event will take place from noon to 9 p.m. Aug. 2 at the North End ball field, located on North Seventh Street in Steubenville.
