Roundtable to hold public meeting
WHEELING — Ohio Valley Civil War Roundtable members will have the opportunity to share their families’ stories, born out of the Civil War era, during a special edition Roundtable meeting open to the public. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohio County Public Library’s Harold E. Vitalie Auditorium.
The Civil War had a profound effect on political, social and economic facets of American life, organizers stated, noting from the antebellum generation to the next, a myriad of diaries, letters and tales of personal experiences have been passed along, helping to keep history alive.
