MINGO JUNCTION — A special ceremony was held on Aug. 12 for Sandy Villamagna, president of Beta Sigma Phi’s Torchbearer Omicron Chapter.

Villamagna, who has been a member of the Chapter for the last 11 years, progressed to the level of preceptor degree, which is earned after six years of program study and active chapter participation at the exemplar level.

Following the ceremony, chapter members held a picnic and swim party at the home of Vice President Alberta Herrick.

Treasurer Nancy Lonetto prepared and served the main dishes, while extension officer Marlene Hamilton served desserts.

Those who received gifts from their “secret sisters,” included Recording Secretary Kathy McKenna, Corresponding Secretary Linda Cole and Herrick.
