Spring Hills Ladies Golf League

The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League met Thursday evening. The Play of the Day was Best Ball. The winners were: Neysa McCart, A Flight; Pat Carey, B Flight; and Janet Backel, C Flight.

The winners for longest drive were: Veronica Foldi, A Flight; Vickie Grant, B Flight; and Patty Gerlando, C Flight.

The winners who were closest to the pin, included: Dru Fleishour, A Flight; Brenda McCloskey, B Flight; and Tammy Cox, C Flight.

Highland Springs Ladies League

The women of the Highland Springs Ladies League played the front nine holes Monday. Game winners were: Laura Froehlich, Veronica Foldi and Tammy Cox.

Erin Ankrum had the long drive on hole No. 3.

Tammy Koutsky was closest to the pin on her second shot on hole No. 7.

Koutsky had the lowest putts of the round.

Foldi had a birdie on hole No. 6.

The nine-hole golf league is open to all women golfers. Play is held each Monday from May through September at Highland Springs Golf Course in Wellsburg.

Tee-off begins at 5 p.m. Those interested in joining should call the clubhouse by 3:30 p.m. on the day of play at (304) 737-2201.

Town and Country Ladies League

The Town and Country Ladies Golf League played a scramble at Spring Hills Golf Club July 31.

Team winners were: Diane VanDine, Marilyn Crew, Cathy Jackson and Nancy Lellie, first place; Signa Findlay, Megan Evans, Norma Henson and Toni Dondzila, second place; and Kathy Antinone, Pat Zorne, Debbie Hendricks and Dora Elizaga, third place.

The long drive winners on hole No. 2 were: Antinone, A Flight; Linda Staffilino, B Flight; and Dondzila, C Flight.

The longest drive winners on hole No. 6 were: Findlay, Henson and Shirley Guida.
