Spring Hills Ladies Golf
The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League met Aug. 7.
The Play of the Day was “Subtract Your Putts.”
The Play of the Day winners were: Tammy Koutsky, A Flight; Brenda McCloskey, B Flight; and Carmela Wallace, C Flight.
The winners for the longest drive included: Cynde Vidas, A Flight; Linda Caputo, B Flight; and Patty Gerlando, C Flight.
The winners who were closest to the pin were: Neysa McCart, A Flight; McCloskey, B Flight; and Wallace, C Flight. Koutsky had a birdie on hole No. 15.
Highland Springs Ladies League
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played the back nine holes on Monday.
The Play of the Day was “Three Blind Mice.”
The Play of the Day winners were: Laura Froehlich, first place; Erin Ankrum, second place; and Tammy Jackson, third place.
Brenda McKloskey won the prize for closest to the pin on her second shot on hole No. 17.
Koutsky was the winner of long drive on hole No. 18. Ankrum had the lowest putts of the evening.
The nine-hole league is open to all women golfers, with play held each Monday from May through September. Tee-off is at 5 p.m. at the Highland Springs Golf Course in Wellsburg. To join, call the clubhouse on the day of play by 3:30 p.m. at (304) 737-2201.
Town and Country Ladies League
The Town and Country Ladies Golf League met Aug. 7 at Spring Hills Golf Course.
The Play of the Day was “NOSE,” where players only count their score on holes starting with those letters, including, nine, one, six, seven and eight.
The Play of the Day winners were: Megan Evans, A Flight; Vicki Broska, B Flight; and Shirley Guida, C Flight.
The winners for the longest drive on hole No. 1 were: Evans, A Flight; Michele Purviance, B Flight; and Dora Elizaga, C Flight.
The winners for the longest drive on hole No. 9 were: Evans, A Flight; Debbie Hendricks, B Flight; and Toni Dondzila, C Flight.
The winners who were closest to the pin on hole No. 4 were: Signa Findlay, A Flight; Purviance, B Flight; and Nancy Lellie, C Flight.
