Church sermon topics
The following churches have submitted their sermon titles for Sunday’s service.
• Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville: The 10 a.m. sermon will be “Work in Progress,” given by the Rev. Laura White.
• Cove Presbyterian Church, Weirton: The 11 a.m. sermon will be entitled “Not Suitable For Framing,” led by Elder Roger Criss.
• Finley Church, Steubenville: The 10:45 a.m. sermon will be “The Kingdom, the Power, the Glory Forever,” taken from the series, “The Red Letters — Diving in Deep to the Sermon on the Mount.” The 6 p.m. sermon will be “Power for Planting,” from the series, “Living in the Power of God.” The Rev. Greg Kasler will lead both sermons.
• Harmony Church of Mingo Junction: “What You Believe Matters: A Holy Church and Its Saints.”
• Rush Run Community Chapel, Rayland: “The Holy Spirit: The Giver of Gifts.”
• St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “The Cost of Discipleship.”
• Starkdale Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “Abundant Life,” Part 2.
• Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “How Faith Grows.”
• Weirton First Christian Church: “Are You Willing to Pay the Price?”
• Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church: “Jesus: Our Great High Priest.”
• Wintersville Church of Christ: “Listening and Doing,” will be the sermon taken from James 1.
• Wintersville Methodist Church: The church will have a presentation given by Ken and Sue Sawka, Bible translators in Africa.
• Zion United Church of Christ, Steubenville: “Assessment and Resolve,” will be the sermon given by guest pastor the Rev. David Brown.
