Church sermon topics
• Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, Steubenville: The 10 a.m. sermon will be “Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves,” given by the Rev. Seth Filburn.
• Cadiz Presbyterian Church: The worship service, followed by a picnic will take place at 11 a.m. at Sally Buffalo Park. All are welcome and asked to bring a covered dish.
• Cove Presbyterian Church, Weirton: The 11 a.m. sermon will be “When You Are Bitten By the Fiery Serpent,” given by the Rev. Lee Clark.
• Finley Church, Steubenville: The 10:45 a.m. sermon will be “Finding your Treasure,” from the series “The Red Letters — Diving in Deep to the Sermon on the Mount.” The 6 p.m. sermon will be “Power for Prevailing,” from the series “Living in the Power of God.” The Rev. Greg Kasler will give the sermons.

• Riverview Global Methodist Church, Toronto: “Making Me an Example,” will be the sermon given by the Rev. Frank Rogers.
• Rush Run Community Chapel, Rayland: “The Holy Spirit: Our Guide.”
• St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: The church will have a special guest speaker, the Rev. Norman Erb-White.
• St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Steubenville: “Christ Jesus Came into the World to Save Sinners.”
• Starkdale Presbyterian Church, Wintersville: “Abundant Life,” Part 3.
• Toronto First Methodist Church: “God’s Unfailing Love: A Call to Believe.”
• Weirton First Christian Church: “Lost and Loved.”
• Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church: “Maturity.”
• Wintersville Church of Christ: “Resurrection of the Dead,” taken from 1 Corinthians 15.
• Wintersville Methodist Church: The church will have its church picnic, worship service and baptism by immersion service beginning at 11 a.m. at Richmond Park.
