Terry Leonino and Greg Artzner began playing music together in September 1973, while she was a senior attending Kent State University. Following graduation, Leonino helped Artzner pack up his VW bus and they moved to the Washington, D.C., area.

Magpie has traveled and toured the country, performing at concerts, at folk clubs and for festivals around the world.

She is a gifted singer of jazz and blues, playing the harmonica, mandolin, fretted dulcimer and rhythm guitar.

He is a guitarist who owes a lot to his heroes, including the Reverend Gary Davis and Big Bill Broonzy.

Rather than confine themselves to a single style, the duo embraces a rainbow of music — from traditional, classic country, swing and blues of the 1920s and ’30s — to contemporary songs written by themselves and others.

They have produced music programs for museums, schools and special events, and performed at Dulci-More Festivals in 2006 and 2015. Performances also included this concert series in 2014, 2017 and 2022.

No advanced tickets or reservations are needed to attend. The community is welcome .
