Little Miss Lion court

The Toronto Art Festival opened Aug. 30 with the Little Miss Lion ceremony, organized by the Toronto Lion’s Club. This year’s event received 22 applications from which five were selected at random during a club meeting. Contestants must have a Toronto address and be between the ages of 8 and 12. Those on the court included, from left, Skylar Boyd, 9; Ameerah Taylor, 8; Harlow Hughes, 8; Brooklyn Boyd, 11; and Elliana Myslinsky, 11. Myslinsky selected the odd-colored rose and was named the 2025 Little Miss Lion. Sponsors included Colonial Florist for the flowers and Foster Funeral Home for the bracelets. Little Miss Lion and her court will be showcased during the annual homecoming parade Oct. 3.
