Quaker Day set for Saturday

Marge Andres, vice president of the Richmond Community Historical Society, monitors vegetable soup being made during the nonprofit organization’s annual Quaker Day, set to take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Activities will run in and around the vicinity of the Crew House Museum, located at 34 W. Main St. Among the offerings will be kettle-cooked vegetable soup, homemade cobblers, Richmond pottery and history books, Christmas ornaments and an opportunity to tour the Crew House Museum. Visitors can tour the city building, listen to live entertainment provided by local musicians and shop various vendors. Those in attendance will include the Richmond Lions Club, Richmond United Presbyterian Church, McConnell pumpkins; Grafton honey and honey candy; Richmond Methodist Church promoting its community Trunk-or-Treat, East Springfield Church of the Cross and Let’s Fight Together by T.J.
