Alpha Delta Kappa International’s Beta Alpha Chapter is among those celebrating Alpha Delta Kappa Month, which is recognized every October. The group consists of active and retired Jefferson County teachers and professors from area schools and universities. Their mission is to advance educational excellence, altruism and world understanding, as well as to promote high standards in the profession that is dedicated to fostering a supportive fellowship, officials commented. Steubenville Mayor Jerry Barilla proclaimed October to be Alpha Delta Kappa Month in the city of Steubenville, which is where the group meets each month.
