STEUBENVILLE — Officials with the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County announced upcoming activities planned at area branches during the week of Oct. 12-18. Those who are interested in participating in any of the projects or events are asked to register by calling the respective branch to ensure a seat will be available.

Adults: The Friends of the Library will host a special auction event, Books and Bling, to benefit the library. The auction will take place from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Main Library. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and champagne will be served, along with a chance to meet several local authors. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Space is limited.
