Highland Springs Ladies League
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played an 18-hole scramble Sept. 27.
The winning team for the scramble included Laura Froehlich, Tammy Koutsky, Tammy Cox and Vickie Grant.
Yuko Atwell won the prize for longest drive on hole No. 7.
The prize for closest to the pin went to Tammy Jackson on her second shot on hole No. 14.
The group followed their round with dinner at Breezy Heights Tavern.
On Monday, the group played the front nine holes in its final round of league play for the season.
Denise Augustine was the first-place winner.
Koutsky was the second-place winner.
Jackson took third place, with a scorecard playoff.
Froehlich won the prize for longest drive on hole No. 3.
Atwell won the prize for closest to the pin on second shot on hole No. 8.
Veronica Foldi and Froehlich each birdied hole No. 6.
Cox had a chip-in on hole No. 9.
Augustine and Koutsky tied for low putts.
Cadiz Women’s Golf League
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League concluded its 2025 season Sept. 24 with its annual Solheim Cup, dinner, yearly awards and closing meeting.
During an extremely wet and shortened competition, the Red Solheim team defeated the Blue Solheim team by a score of 13-5.
2025 Ringer Board winners were Roberta Cireddu, Laura Froehlich and Denise Augustine.
The most chip-in winners were Tracy Amos, Froehlich, Kathy Smith and Pat Roper.
Marilyn Kenny and Cireddu tied for having the most eagles.
The winners for having the most birdies were Cireddu, Froehlich and Sandy Terek.
The most improved player for 2025 was Angie Sapon.
Officers for 2026 will include Brenda Hartley, chairperson; Donna Griffin, co-chairperson; Judy Crawshaw, secretary; and Glenda Sensel, treasurer.
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League would like to thank the country club board and staff, as well as its league members for all of their efforts and contributions toward a successful, enjoyable golf season.
Town and Country Ladies League
Members of the Town and Country Ladies Golf League were not able to play this week due to a rain cancelation. The league will meet for its end-of-the-season tournament and announce the winners next week, according to officials.
