NEW CUMBERLAND — Members of the Alpha Tau Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa’s International Honorary Organization for Women Educators met for their November meeting at the Swaney Memorial Library.
President Fran Jones called the meeting to order.
The thought for the day was a reading taken from “Walking in Grace,” presented by Chaplain Kathy Griffith.
Following roll call, taken by Secretary Mary Lou Martindill, the October meeting’s minutes were approved. Treasurer Velda Icard gave the financial report.
A report on the Ohio Valley district meeting was given by President-elect Michelle Lewis.

ALPHA TAU HOSTESSES –– Hostesses included Susan Gracie, left, and Rita Schmitt. Tammy Fields was a hostess for the chapter as well.
Jones and Lewis discussed the scholarship fundraisers.
Officer and committee reports were given.
Members enjoyed a Paint and Dip activity, creating patriotic paintings in honor of Veterans Day, led by Martindill. Hostesses Tammy Fields, Susan Gracie and Rita Schmitt provided various chips and dips for refreshments.
The chapter’s December meeting will be a joint meeting with the Fidelis Gamma and Alpha Kappa chapters.
