Weirton McDonald’s to help Weir students

WEIRTON — The McDonald’s restaurant in Weirton, located on Three Springs Drive, will hold two fundraisers to support Weir High School.

The restaurant announced it will be assisting the school’s ski team, as well as Weir High’s student media.

The media program includes journalism, video production classes and a student-run website.

The student media event will be held on Wednesday. The ski team event will be held on Friday. Both fundraisers will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

During these hours, 25 percent of all mobile app sales will go to the school’s programs.

In addition, the Weirton store will be donating pies to the teams to sell individually.

Those sales can be accepted as cash donations, McDonald’s officials explained.

Options for mobile ordering include curbside orders, integrated delivery through the McDonald’s app, in-store pick-up orders and drive-through orders using the code from the McDonald’s app.

Visit the app store on your mobile device to download the McDonald’s app and then place your order Wednesday and Friday to held fund the school’s programs.
