Storybook yoga to be offered
WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Public Library will hold Storybook yoga for children and their caregivers at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the library’s River Room. Leading the class will be Taylor Provenzano of Soulshine Yoga.
Participants will learn how to read, move and breathe through the yoga class and hear a storytime during the activity. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a mat or towel.

Veterans commission to meet
STEUBENVILLE — The regular monthly meeting of the Veterans Service Commission of Jefferson County will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at 500 Market St., Suite 310 in Steubenville.
All veterans and interested parties are welcome to attend.
Class of ’59 to meet
STEUBENVILLE — The Steubenville High School Class of ’59 met Nov. 12. There were 14 people in attendance.
Norina Eroshevich provided the blessing and get-well wishes were sent to George Milosevich. Sympathies were extended to B.J. Moore Fairhurst on the loss of her sister.
Donna Tepovich Kraska brought in a birthday cake to celebrate those who have a birthday in November. Birthday wishes went out to Donna and Sally Wilson.
The next class luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Froehlich’s Classic Corner. Those planning to attend should contact Eroshevich at (740) 219-2234.
Church to hold Christmas performance
WEIRTON — An original production entitled “The Birth of Jesus,” taken from “A Christmas Story,” will be performed at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Weirton at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Morning Star Baptist Church ensemble will perform the music, along with guest soloist, soprano Bonnie Slemmer.
The event is open to the public. The church, located at 3124 Weir Ave., noted a free-will offering will be taken during the performance.
Laser engraver brought to library
STEUBENVILLE — The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County now has a laser engraver in its MakerSpace area of the Shiappa branch, officials announced.
The machine utilizes a laser beam to perform engraving tasks. It uses automations to achieve precise cuts and engravings on various materials, including metal, wood, glass and acrylic.
Library officials provided examples of what the machine can be used for, including tumblers, keychains, ornaments and luggage tags. They stated the items can then be given as gifts to employees, customers or family members for the holidays.

Soup, sandwich and cookie sale set
WELLSBURG — St. John the Evangelist Parish will hold a soup, sandwich and cookie tray sale at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church hall, located at 1300 Charles St. in Wellsburg.
All soups and cookies will be homemade, prepared by the ladies of the church.
Cookie trays will include six dozen cookies at the cost of $35. Small trays will be available for $10.
Soups that will be sold include potato soup, pasta fagioli, stuffed pepper and chicken noodle.
Sandwiches include Italian hoagies, barbecued ham and chicken salad croissants.
Dine-in or carryout will be offered for guests.
The event will continue until all of the items have been sold, according to organizers.

Members of the Altar and Rosary Society at the parish stated they want to express their appre iation to everyone for their continued support in funding projects for the church, adding they wish everyone a happy and blessed Christmas.
Three Score Seniors meet
WEIRTON — Members of the Three Score Senior Club met for their November meeting, with President Frank Bohach calling the meeting to order and announcing Sunshine Chair Winnie Kemp.
Kemp provided the prayer and led the group in reciting the pledge and singing “God Bless America.”
Following dinner, the musical group Friends entertained those in attendance. Friends performed Christmas-inspired musical selections.
Kemp announced that get-well cards were sent to Chuck Elliott, Michael Runkel and Donna Fillipowski. She noted a sympathy card had been sent to Beverly Shingleton.
She informed members Ron and Patti Baker were celebrating an anniversary.
Mary Bohach announced dinner reservations for the November meeting and members only to come to December meeting.
Bohach introduced the officers for 2026, including Frank Bohach, president; Ron Baker, vice president; Patty Baker, treasurer; and Barbara Purks, secretary.
He commented the Three Score Senior meeting for February will be held at 3 p.m. at Undo’s in Weirton.
It was decided to keep a head table for upcoming meetings.
Prizes were awarded to Frank Bohach, Sue Sakara, Kemp, Bob Watson, Jane Watson, Rita Wickham and Marlene Hare. Kemp closed the meeting with a prayer.
