Church to hold Christmas Eve service

WEIRTON -- St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold its Christmas Eve service, which includes the holy eucharist and candlelight service, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Steven McKeown will preside.

The community is invited to attend this special evening service. The church is located on Three Springs Drive in Weirton.

Weir High Class of '60 meets

WEIRTON -- The Weir High School Class of 1960 met at Undo's restaurant for a holiday dinner. Paula Francis Brown welcomed classmates and noted those who were ill.

Lynn Risher Bish delivered the invocation. Carol Village served as registrar and dessert hostess.

A memorabilia table featured Weirton Steel bulletins and school newsletters for guests to view.

Door prizes of floral centerpieces were provided by Kay Mortimer, with Bish providing Mario's gift cards.

Among those in attendance were Jackie Scandola Lesho, Edwin Lesho, Ros D'Alesio Kaczmarek, Charles Rucker, Betty Corwin, Matt Javersak, Dave Nurmi, Carl Bish, Harry Brown, Ross "Skip" Mortimer, Dottie Wright Virtue, Gary Virtue, Margaret Balint Kirk and Ed Kirk. The next get-together will be held Feb. 3 at Undo's.
