Creek sets meeting with parents regarding upcoming trips
WINTERSVILLE — The Indian Creek High School Foreign Language Club is traveling across the globe and is set to discuss plans during a meeting set for 6 p.m. Thursday in the classroom of Isabelle Heisler, co-adviser of the student organization.
Heisler, along with co-adviser Michele Starkey, will address open enrollment for the next scheduled trip to London, Paris and Rome in 2027.
Seven students and two chaperones are scheduled to visit France and Spain between June 19 and July 4 for 10 days of sightseeing in Paris, the Louvre Valley, Bordeaux and Biarritz, before proceeding to San Sebastian, Pamplona, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Montserrat and Madrid.
The enrollment deadline for the sojourn was in November. Heisler explained now, plans are getting underway for the next journey, which will be the topic of the upcoming meeting.
“We were supposed to go to Costa Rica in 2027,” Heisler stated. “Officials at Bellaire High School reached out wanting to collaborate with us, and now we are going to London, Paris and Rome. The kids generally know each other through sports and other activities, so they will get to know each other in a different way.”
The trip will be launched during the meeting where enrollment will begin.
The trips are through EF Tours, it was noted.
“There are 15 spots still available,” Heisler commented. “It includes a flight to London and then a trip on the Eurostar to Paris under the English Channel. Then, we will take a flight from Paris to Rome.”
The all-inclusive cost is $4,700. This includes flights, lodging and meals. Payment plans are available. Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 are being offered to assist with expenses. For information, e-mail isabelle.heisler@iclsd.org.
