Seventh- and eighth-grade students attending Catholic Central High School were given an opportunity to support those with the Franciscan Sisters of the Third Order Regular of Penance of the Sorrowful Mother in their downtown ministry. Those in the TOR minister to more than 100 people in downtown Steubenville who have unique needs, school officials stated. Students took time to write letters of encouragement, made more than 100 sandwiches and packaged “goodies,” each containing a note. This particular ministry is one the students say they will continue to support through food and prayers, officials said.
