Church to hold soup sale
WEIRTON — St. Thomas Episcopal Church will hold a carryout only soup sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the church, located on Three Springs Drive in Weirton.
Soups available will include chicken noodle, vegetable and broccoli and cheese.
Quarts will be sold for $8. Pints will cost $5.

Lighthouse celebrating anniversary
STEUBENVILLE — Lighthouse Counseling and Mediation Services will celebrate eight years of hope, healing and support to those area residents in need of receiving help because of mental health or substance abuse issues.
A special anniversary celebration is set to take place at noon on Thursday at the center, located across from the Jefferson County Courthouse at 320 Market St.
Join officials for cake and nachos, while touring the office and discovering the agency’s mission to “provide an effective treatment program for individuals who have mental health concerns or are addicted to drugs and alcohol.” For information, call (740) 314-5339.
McDonald’s supporting Key Club
WEIRTON — McDonald’s restaurant in Weirton will hold a fundraiser in support of the Weir High Key Club from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
During the three-hour fundraiser, 10 percent of all product sales and 20 percent of all mobile app sales will go to the Key Club, a student-led organization that gives students the opportunity to build leadership and character skills.
In-store cash donations will be accepted through homemade pie sales, according to organizers.
Options for mobile ordering include curbside orders, integrated delivery through the McDonald’s app, in-store pick-up orders and drive-thru orders using the code from the McDonald’s app. McDonald’s is located on Three Springs Drive in Weirton.
SOAR plans meeting
WEIRTON — SOAR will hold its quarterly meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 4 at Mario’s restaurant in Weirton. The meal will consist of pizza, salad and beverages.
