Dueling Pianos helps safe lives

Contributed FUNDRAISER PLANNED — The Jeffeson County Humane Society is making plans for its annual Dueling Pianos fundraiser, set for March 14 at the St. Florian Even

WINTERSVILLE — Officials with the Jefferson County Humane Society are getting excited about their biggest fundraising event of the year, Dueling Pianos.

Money raised during the March 14 event at the St. Florian Event Center will help the organization fund lifesaving programs that help animals. The group supports humane agents — animal cops — who investigate, seize, rescue and seek justice for the voiceless animals who sometimes are suffering in silence, officials explained.

Supported entirely by local donations, the organization has a veterinarian on staff, providing all animals with comprehensive medical care, including complex surgery. It also provides free pet food to anyone in need through its pet food pantry.

“In order to continue rescuing, sheltering, housing, finding deserving homes, rehabilitating and providing optimal medical care to shelter animals, we need this fundraiser to be successful,” explained Brandi DeNoon-Damewood, development manager and development committee co-chair.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show set to start at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, organizers said, adding that the event sells out every year.

Sponsorships, some of which come with reserved tables, are still available.

General admission tickets cost $50. To purchase tickets, call (740) 314-5583; visit the shelter, the clinic or Hauser’s Furniture on Sunset Boulevard in Steubenville; or go online at zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/dueling-pianos–2026
