Fish fry at Post 33
STEUBENVILLE — Members of the American Legion Post 33 Auxiliary will hold fish fries Friday and March 20 and 27.
Hours of operation will be from noon to 6 p.m. at the Legion hall, 808 N. Fifth St.
There will be no fish fry on Good Friday.

Weir High Class of 1967 to meet
WEIRTON — The Weir High School Class of 1967 will hold its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 18 at Applebee’s Restaurant in Steubenville. All classmates and spouses are welcome.
Club welcomes Martin impersonator
MINGO JUNCTION — Joe Scalissi, a nationally known Dean Martin impersonator and entertainer, will be the featured performer when the Italian American Cultural Club holds a special event beginning at 7 p.m. March 28.
The Knights of Columbus Hall in Mingo Junction will be filled with the music of the one and only Dino, club officials said. The event is open to the public, and tickets can be purchased at iaccsteubenville.org.
Cruise for the Community coming
Mountaineer Casino Resort in New Cumberland will host the Cruise for the Community from 2-6 p.m. June 6, presented by the Brooke Hancock Family Resource Network and Revolution CC. Proceeds from the show benefit the BHFRN.
Events will include a chance auction, a 50-50 raffle, door prizes, vendors, kid-friendly activities, and food and drinks.
A car show will be held June 7 from 1-4 p.m., with registration starting at noon, at the New Cumberland Fire Department. Awards will be presented starting at 5 p.m. Winners must be present.
Early bird registration from March 15-May 15 is $10 and includes two door prize tickets, a hot dog and a drink. After May 15, registration is $15 and includes one door prize ticket, a hot dog and a drink.
Fort Steuben hosting lecture series
Historic Fort Steuben at 6:30 p.m. March 19 will host the next ecition of the America 250 lecture series, “The Unsolved Murders at Baker’s Tavern,” by Mike Nogay. Step into the frontier of 1774 and uncover a dark chapter in early American history. Nogay explores the murder of Chief Logan’s family at Baker’s Tavern, a shocking event that sparked outrage and helped ignite conflicts on the Ohio frontier. Learn the story behind the Yellow Creek Massacre, the mystery surrounding the attack, and its lasting impact on Native and settler relations.
Mingo Junction Council meetings
Mingo Junction Village Council has scheduled committee meetings Monday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with zoning, followed at 6 p.m. by a finance meeting. Meetings are held in council chambers, 501 Commercial St.
Council vacancy in Mingo Junction
Village Council is accepting letters of interest from residents who would like to serve in place of Councilwoman Pat Cramblett, who recently resigned. Cramblett’s term expires at the end of 2027.
Mayor Judy Ruckman said interested residents should submit a letter explaining why they would like to be considered. Letters should be submitted to President Pro Tem Adam Peeler, 501 Commercial St., Mingo Junction, OH 43948, no later than March 25.
Council will review all submissions and hold a meeting to vote on the appointment after the deadline. “We encourage residents who want to make a positive impact in our community to apply,” Ruckman added.
County board of health meeting set
The Jefferson County Board of Health will meet Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. in the Tower building, 500 Market St., Steubenville.
