Police Beat
Steubenville Police
Bothered: A N. 7th Street resident told police Monday two women “harass her every time she sees them.” She said the two saw her in a store and claims they “began calling her names and saying, ‘Come outside.'” Police advised her how to obtain a protection order and said she should call if it happens again.
Booked: Bryan Handy, 50, 633 Lawson Ave., Steubenville, failure to appear warrant (Municipal Court), Saturday; Katie Smith, 50, 3720 Main St., Weirton, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, Sunday; Michelle Bannister, 37, 102 Carmel Rd., Unit 110, Wheeling, violating a protection order.
Summons: Jessica Sue Crow, 40, 216 Fairview St., Weirton, theft, Sunday. Employees at Walmart alleged Crow failed to scan several items at checkout “while completing an order for delivery for another individual via a dash-like service.” Also, Anthony Steineman, 44, 177 Paris Colliers Road, Burgettstown, possession of drug paraphernalia, Sunday.
Code issues: The owner of four vehicles with expired plates parked in a vacant lot at 408 Lawson Avenue was told they are an outdoor storage violation and need to be removed.
Cited: Sabrina McNichols, no age or address listed, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failure to yield after a two-car accident at the intersection of Mall and Aldis drives. McNichols denied colliding with the other vehicle but after admitting she doesn’t have a valid driver license, police reported asking her about damage to her driver-side rear bumper, but she “seemed unsure.”
