Officials with the City of Weirton presented proclamations to representatives of A Child’s Place CASA, CHANGE Inc. Comfort House, and Hancock County Partners in Prevention, in recognition of their work to raise awareness of child abuse, and offer support for those who have experienced it, in the region. It was all part of local observances of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and included the placement of blue and silver pinwheels in front of the Weirton Municipal Building and other nearby city facilities.
