New fiction titles available at public library

STEUBENVILLE – The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced new fiction titles now available for readers.

Among the new books is “Intercepts” by T.J. Payne, in which Joe works at a facility conducting human experimentation where inmates subjected to extreme sensory deprivation develop a strange ability to “intercept” the sights and senses of anyone in the world. Joe uses the procedure to catch terrorists, arms dealers and drug lords, but his work soon takes a darker turn.

Also available is “Robert B. Parker’s Booked” by Allison Gaylin, in which world-famous author Melanie Joan Hall enlists help tracking down a popular online book reviewer known as Book Babe after a harsh review threatens her publishing deal. The investigation reveals a deeper connection between the reviewer and the author, and the situation turns deadly when the reviewer is found dead.

Another new title is “The Library After Dark” by Ande Pliego, which follows Aria Stokes as she attends an exclusive after-hours tour of the Daedalus Library with her boyfriend Jasper. While the library is known for its immersive reading rooms and rumored hauntings, Aria is hiding a secret from her past that threatens to resurface during the visit.
