Monday Night Ladies League

HOOKSTOWN, Pa. — The Monday Night Ladies League played at Ponderosa Golf Course in Hookstown on May 11.

The Play of the Day was Throw Out the Worst Two Holes. Brenda Hartley finished in first place, Tammy Koutsky in second place and Laura Froehlich in third place. Yuko Atwell took the prize for closest to the pin on second shot on hole No. 5. The low putts prize was split between Tammy Koutsky and Denise Augustine.

On Monday, the ladies played the front nine at Ponderosa Golf Courses, and the Play of the Day was low gross. Yuko Atwell was the winner, with Laura Froehlich and Erin Ankrum tied for second place. Tammy Jackson earned the prize for closest to the pin on the second shot on No.7. Atwell birdied No. 7 and Froehlich had the low putts of the evening.

Cadiz Women’s Golf League

CADIZ — Opening day for the Cadiz Women’s Golf League was May 6, with a scramble, luncheon and meeting.

The team of Roberta Cireddu, Pat Stewart and Kim Ochsenbine took first place, while the team of Tracy Amos, Melissa Leach and Brenda Hartley came in second.

Skill hole winners included: Longest Drive, A Flight — Tracy Amos; Longest Drive, B Flight — Judy Crawshaw; Longest Drive, C Flight — Pat Roper; Closest to the Flamingo — Pat Stewart; and Longest Putt — Kim Thrash.

Kathy Newburn and Cathy Jackson provided flowers and artwork for decorations and the drawing. Karen Sims won the gift basket.
