The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce held its annual golf classic Tuesday at the Steubenville Country Club. Interstate Waste Services was the presenting sponsor for the event, which attracted a field of 34 teams, President Emily Byers explained. A favorite area golf outing for more than 30 years, this year’s scramble brought business people, golfers, volunteers and sponsors together for a day of friendly competition, food, drink and networking opportunities. Helping to make things run smoothly were 40 chamber Ambassadors and volunteers. The Franciscan University of Steubenville and Youngstown State University were among the major sponsors.
