COMMUNITY YARD, VENDOR SALE SET
TRIADELPHIA, W.Va. - The Highlands Sports Complex will host The Great HSC Community Yard & Vendor Sale Aug. 22-23 at 225 McCormick Way.
The indoor event will feature local sellers, small businesses, crafters and vendors offering household items, collectibles, handmade goods and specialty products. Vendor spaces remain available.
Shopping hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 22 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23. Admission is $3, with children 12 and younger admitted free.

STEUBENVILLE - The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced the following August programs:
At the Brilliant Branch, children ages 2-4 can participate in Tot Time at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 27. The program features books, songs and more. Registration is required.
At the Schiappa Branch, adults can borrow "The Third Gilmore Girl" by Kelly Bishop and meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 25 to discuss the book.
At the Tiltonsville Branch, the Thriller Book Club will meet at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 25 to discuss "The Surgeon" by Leslie Wolfe. Call the branch to join.
Also at the Tiltonsville Branch, children ages 2-4 can participate in Tot Time at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 25. Registration is required.

BUTLER APPOINTED TO ORSANCO
NEW PHILADELPHIA - Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District Executive Director Craig Butler to the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission.
Butler’s term began Aug. 7 and runs through June 29, 2032. ORSANCO works with member states and federal partners to protect and improve water quality throughout the Ohio River Basin.
Butler has led MWCD since 2020 and previously served as director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency from 2014 to 2019.
"I am honored to be appointed by Governor DeWine to serve on ORSANCO and to have the opportunity to help advance the important work taking place throughout the Ohio River Basin," Butler said.
