Mural taking form

The latest addition to Weirton’s growing public art community is becoming more visible. This mural, in the works on the north side of the Strip Steel Credit Union building, 3316 Main St., Weirton, is being painted through the combined efforts of art students at Weir and Oak Glen high schools. It depicts representations of emergency responders, the logos of each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the American flag, and a steel mill, along with the logos of the credit union and the two high schools.
