Valve project set for Thursday
WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Water Board will have a crew at the intersection of Linton Lane and Boley Street, Thursday, to work on a valve.
Work will begin at 8 a.m., and customers in the area may experience low or not water pressure. If warranted, a boil order will be issued once work is complete.
Special Water Board meeting set
WEIRTON - The Weirton Area Water Board has scheduled a special meeting for noon, Friday, in Room 201 of the Weirton Municipal Building.
The meeting’s agenda includes the receipt of resumes for the position of water director and discussion on the interview process, and the resignation of James Shockley from the board, effective Sept. 30.
Portion of Culler Road to be restricted
WEIRTON - Culler Road will be limited to one lane from Wirt Street to Putnam Lane, Friday, to allow for work on a water line break.
The work, scheduled by the Weirton Area Water Board, will begin at 8 a.m.
Brooke commissioners seek applicants for PSD seat
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Commission is seeking applications from those interested in a seat on the Hammond Public Service District.
Those interested should send a letter of interest to the Brooke County Clerk’s Office prior to Oct. 6.
Tri-State Community Band to perform
STEUBENVILLE -- The Tri-State Community Band will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Malara Hall at Holy Family Catholic Church.
The evening will feature a variety of music performed by musicians from across the Tri-State Area.
There is no admission charge for the concert.
