Camera club names competition winners

WINTERSVILLE -- The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club held its annual competition Sept. 1 at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church.

Each member was able to enter two photographs in each of 16 categories. All entries were judged by a panel of three professional judges before the meeting. Each entry was shown in a PowerPoint presentation, which also announced the winners in each category along with the Best of Show.

There were ties in several categories, including a couple of ties in which one person received the same score for both of their photographs. Results included:

• Abstract: First, Sue Adey; second, Barb Momyer; third, Gina Judy.

• Black and white: First, John Hanish; second, John Newlin; third, Lisa Carte.

• Children-candid/formal: First, Karen Felix; second, Matt Morrison; third, Gary Churella and Sue Adey.

• Close-up: First, John Hanish; second, Barb Momyer and Gary Churella; third, Jenny Riegler.

• Flowers-plants: First, Barb Momyer; second, Barb Momyer; third, Jenny Riegler, Karen Felix, John Hanish and Lisa Carte.

• Night photography: First, John Hanish; second, John Jackson; third, Dennis Jones and Lisa Carte.

Dennis Jones received Best of Show.
