WEIRTON - Kroger is set to celebrate a newly remodeled Weirton store after just over three months of renovations and improvements.
Located at 100 Saint Thomas Drive, the store will officially unveil its $1.2 million renovation on Friday. Shoppers may explore the store's updates, sample food and take advantage of grand re-opening specials.
A ribbon cutting is set for 10 a.m. to help unveil the store’s new look. As part of the celebration, the first 50 customers in line by 9 a.m. will receive a $10 gift card. In addition, any customer can enter to win a chance for free gas for a month through a card valued at $250.
Customers must enter to win at the store before 9:30 a.m. on Friday, and must be present to claim the prize, with the drawing held during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
"We hope the entire Weirton community will join us on September 25 to celebrate and experience their all-new grocery store," said Marcela Jimenez-Doran, Weirton Kroger store leader. "Shoppers will find the same welcoming atmosphere their store is known for with a variety of fresh updates and expanded selections."
The remodeled 67,468-square-foot store now features many improvements, including updates to the Deli, Seafood, Bakery, and Murray's Cheese Departments that feature new cases, islands and more. Additionally, shoppers will find improvements both inside and outside the store, including fresh paint, upgrades to exterior doors and more.
Store hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with pharmacy hours 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays.
Fuel Center hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
