Elections board to meet
STEUBENVILLE -- The monthly meeting of the Jefferson County Board of Elections will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the Tower building, 500 Market Street, Steubenville.
Toronto board will meet
TORONTO -- Toronto City Schools Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be held in the library at Toronto Junior-Senior High School.
SVRTA meets Thursday
STEUBEVILLE -- The Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority will hold its regular board meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be held at the Robert J. Cutri, Modal Center.
Recovery board to meet
STEUBENVILLE -- A board meeting of the Jefferson County Prevention and Recovery Board will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19.
The meeting will be held at the board office, 524 Madison Ave. for information, call (740) 282-1300.
Brooke school board to meet
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Board of Education will meet in special session at 6 p.m., Tuesday, at 1201 Pleasant Ave., Wellsburg.
The meeting will include interviews with five applicants for a board seat vacant following the death of former board President Antoinette Perkins, as well as a possible selection of an appointee.
Portion of Wylie Ridge to be closed
WEIRTON - A portion of Wylie Ridge Road, also known as County Route 9, will be closed, beginning Oct. 15, for a pipe replacement project.
The closures will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Oct. 23, and will be in effect at milepost 6.25.
Emergency vehicles and school buses will be accommodated, while other motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
