Toronto McDonald’s sets fundraiser for Friday
TORONTO -- The McDonald’s restaurant at 1850 Franklin St. will hold a community fundraiser Friday in memory of Susan Marie Bradley, an employee and friend who unexpectedly died on Oct. 2 at the age of 57.
In support of Bradley’s family, 20 percent of all sales at the Toronto restaurant made between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. will be donated directly to them.
The fundraiser serves as a way to honor Bradley’s life and legacy and to provide support to those she loved most. Her significant other, Rich Short, still works at the Toronto McDonald’s.
“Susan was more than just a co-worker -- she was a member of our McDonald’s family,” said Trey Locke, the McDonald’s owner and operator. “Her kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. We hope this event brings people together not only to remember Susan, but to help her family feel the strength of the community standing behind them.”
Organizers encourage all who knew Bradley -- or those simply wishing to show their support -- to stop by, share a moment of remembrance and contribute through their purchases.
