Youngsters in the early childhood education preschool program at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School were treated to a special visit by the Belvedere Volunteer Fire Department for Fire Safety Week. Fire Chief Robert Gaffney met with kids on Oct. 9 to discuss the topic and had a fire truck on display while firefighter Anthony Middleton demonstrated his turnout gear. Pictured are preschoolers Corbyn Robson, Dixie Mae Valentine, and Mick McConnell getting a close-up view of Middleton's breathing apparatus.
