Bus stop gets into the spirit

A local Halloween tradition continued Friday, as elementary school pupils assigned to the bus stop at the Marland Heights fire station in Weirton were treated to some extra holiday fun. Crossing guard Sheila Long, working with the youths’ parents and with support from United Bank which provided goody bags, organized a trunk-or-treat for the kids to enjoy as they departed their school bus. Nine cars were set up and decorated this year, from which to select a variety of goodies, along with other parents passing out treats.
