Brilliant Fire Department adds new ladder truck to fleet

Photo provided by Willie Brown The Brilliant Fire Department recently took delivery of a new 2026 Pierce Ascendant truck. The apparatus features a 2,000-gallon-per-minute pump, a 500-gallon water tank and a 107-foot extendable ladder. It was purchased from Atlantic Emergency Solutions, Inc.

Miami University Confers Spring Degrees MIAMI UNIVERSITY — Miami University conferred more than 4,500 degrees during its spring commencement ceremony held May 16 at Yager Stadium in Oxford. Local graduates include Brooklyn Lengyel of Rayland, Emily Vitlip of Steubenville, Kiera O’Brien of Steubenville and Malena Biasi of Steubenville.
