Arrested: Brittany M. Alvis 29, 634 Grandview Ave., bench warrant, Wednesday.
Cited: Patrick M. Long, 26, 86 27th St., Wellsburg, defective/unsafe vehicle; Gary Thomas, 64, 449 S. Seventh St., stop sign violation, failure to signal.
Chase: Steubenville police assisted Washington County in a pursuit, Thursday. The police responded to the report of the pursuit entering the city and encountered officers from Washington County, where the pursuit began, and Weirton. The vehicle was eventually found abandoned and the driver appeared to have fled into a wooded area, according to the report. The police and fire departments aided in the search. The driver was not located and the vehicle was towed back to the jurisdiction of the pursuing department, according to the report.

Arrested: Brittany M. Alvis, 29, 634 Grandview Ave., Steubenville, failure to appear and possession of drugs, Monday.

Harassed: A woman reported being harassed by another female, Sunday.
Clipped: The driver of a rental truck told police he made a turn too sharply and struck a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard Sunday. The front side bumper and fender of the parked vehicle was damaged, police said.
Assault: A woman told police she got into an altercation with her ex after he let himself into her residence, Monday. The woman told police the disagreement turned physical and he struck her in the face and grabbed her by the throat.
Trashy: Police reported finding a stove, a large amount of dog feces, a pile of old brush and scattered trash in the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Oregon and an old mattress is a yard in the 400 block of Lawson Avenue. Notices of violation were mailed to owners of both.
Hit: A vehicle parked in the lot at Prime Time was struck by the center's van, Monday. The mishap damaged the bumper and trunk on the passenger side, police said.
Banned: A woman banned from Heritage Square was observed jumping the fence, Monday. The manager requested a trespassing charge be filed.
Punched: A woman said she was assaulted by another woman as she was getting into her car, Monday. The victim knew her attacker, police said.
Prowler: A suspicious man was spotted trying to get into the backyard of a home in the 400 block of Lawson Avenue, Monday.
