Arrested: Anthony Geoff William Pathis, 31, 1302 Belleview Blvd., Steubenville, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, Tuesday.
Obstacle course: Someone in a truck hit a fire hydrant on McDowell Avenue and left the scene, Monday. No damage was apparent, police said.
Spat: Callers reported a couple fighting in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Tuesday. The woman said her boyfriend spit in her face and slapped her, so she hit him back. The boyfriend denied hitting the woman, but claimed she struck him. Each accused the other of stealing personal possessions.
Vandalism: Tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on Cedar Avenue overnight, Tuesday.
Code issues: A notice was sent to the owner of a property at 523 Maxwell Ave., grass violation.
Assault: Police said a man who appeared to be under the influence claimed he’d been assaulted earlier in the day, Tuesday.
Overdose: Family members reported a city resident appeared to be overdosing, Tuesday. The individual initially denied using drugs, but police said the person was sweating profusely with bloodshot and glassy eyes and pinpoint pupils. A hypodermic syringe was on the floor, and witnesses reported seeing a small plastic baggie and burned spoon as well before calling for help. The individual eventually admitted shooting up with heroin.
Unresponsive: An unresponsive man was found on the floor of a bathroom on South Seventh Street Tuesday. Emergency personnel administered three doses of Narcan to resuscitate him. Police said there was no sign of drugs or drug paraphernalia when they arrived.

Arrested: Derrick Jamal Brown, 31, 814 Rosswell Ave., Steubenville, possession of drugs, concealed weapon and failure to comply, Tuesday.
Arrested: Jacob C. Wallace, 27, 8105 Nassau Road NE, Kensington, failure to appear, Tuesday.
Arrested: Marlena E. Hart, 27, 1175 county Road 28, Wintersville, probation violation, Tuesday.
Arrested: Karen Peck, 55, 12092 state route 150, Rayland, failure to appear, Tuesday.
