Naked and afraid: A Hancock County man told deputies he was drugged so nude photos and videos of a woman he'd been involved with could be deleted from his cell phone, Tuesday. The man also claims $800 was taken from his wallet. The man said he'd gone to a bonfire in July at the woman's house, which he said was in the Hammondsville area, and was surprised the following morning to find himself naked in her back yard. He said he found his shorts, then walked around front to go inside the home. When he knocked on her bedroom door, the man claims the woman handed him his phone and keys, and told him she and her current boyfriend had given him four doses of LSD. He said he mulled going to the hospital to be checked, but claims the couple told him the LSD would only show up through a spinal tap. He told deputies he waited a month to report the incident because he was in love with the woman and thought she was his best friend, but "realizes now she could have killed him" and also said she's threatened to tell a friend in law enforcement in Hancock County he'd raped her. He also produced text messages from the woman's boyfriend admitting they'd given him LSD, but deputies looking into the allegations have since learned the woman's property is outside their jurisdiction.
Pointers: An Amsterdam couple arguing over sauce spilled on the floor told deputies things got out of hand, Thursday. Deputies said the husband, who was cooking dinner, admitted pushing his wife out of his way when she "came in yelling" at him about the spill, but turned back to the sink in time to see her wielding a butter knife that she used to poke him in the stomach. Neither party wished to pursue charges.
Neighborly nightmare: A Dillonvale area resident claims their neighbor threatened to beat her husband and shoved her to the ground because he found his tire flattened, Thursday. The woman told deputies she and her husband had been at home, watching a movie before they went to bed, so they couldn't have damaged the tire. Deputies were unable to speak with the neighbor, but a friend who was at the residence said there was no altercation and claimed it was the woman's husband who had threatened them with a pipe and that he'd also said inappropriate things about the neighbor's pre-teen daughter.
Theft: A cell phone was stolen from a car parked outside a market on Commercial Avenue in Mingo Junction, Thursday.
