Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Kage Allen Ryan Mosti, 21, 25908 state route 213, Hammondsville, probation violation and failure to appear, Sept. 25.

Arrested: Steven A. Kolesko, 64, 487 E. Main St., Adena, disseminating information harmful to a minor and two counts of importuning, Monday.

Arrested: Van A. Flesher, 67, 314 S. High St., Steubenville, contempt, Monday.

Arrested: Bryan Jason Whittaker, 40, 455 Union St., Mt. Pleasant, theft, forgery, receiving stolen property and a warrant, Monday.

Arrested: James Stewart, 36, 212 Mason St., Amsterdam, criminal trespass and resisting arrest, Monday.

Fumbling: Callers reported a man who appeared to be under the influence rummaging through a vehicle on Oakmont Avenue, Friday. Police said they found a male in the driver's seat with his eyes closed and "his head moving around uncontrollably." They said he admitted smoking methamphetamine several days prior but refused treatment.

Skipped: A driver sheered off a pole behind the 2000 block of Oregon Avenue, then fled the scene, Friday.

Jumped: Callers reported a juvenile jumping on vehicles in the 800 block of Market Street, Saturday.

Damaged: The owner of a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue told police the driver's side door was scratched and dented, then the driver left the scene, Saturday.

Love bugged: A Market Street resident told police she wanted her live-in boyfriend gone, Saturday. She said he'd been "harassing her and refusing to leave her home." The live-in told police they were engaged and he'd been home all day with their child, and when she finally came home they argued. Both refused to leave the residence.

Carded: Two men tried to get into an apartment building on North Fourth Street by inserting their credit card into the card reader, Saturday.

Arrested: Kenneth Harper, 30, 176 Sky View Drive, Weirton, failure to appear, Friday.

Arrested: Kathy Jo Tuder, 39, 1320 Sunny Side Drive, East Liverpool, failure to appear, Friday.

Arrested: Rex Bates Jr., 30, 1304 Kennelwerth Ave., Toronto, pending charge of domestic violence, Saturday.

Light fingers: A customer withdrew $80 from his bank account at a Kroger self-checkout station, but walked away without his money, Monday.

Destroyed: Pumpkins were smashed, light cords cut and two potted mums stolen from a home in the 400 block of Westwood, Monday.

Ex out: A man in the 600 block of McDowell said his ex broke out the side window at his residence, Monday.

Damaged: A vehicle parked in the 800 block of North Sixth Street had the front quarter panel damaged, Monday. A tire also was flattened.

Coded: notices of violation were sent to the owner of a property at 1251 Arlington, Steubenville, outdoor storage.

Arrested: Joshua Vein, 33, no fixed address, possession of drug abuse instrument and failure to appear, Monday.
