Jefferson County sheriff

Domestic: An Island Creek Township resident called the sheriff's office to report a dispute between him and his significant other, Monday. According to the report, the man said his girlfriend was intoxicated and had struck him, and he had hit her back in self defense. The deputy observed the man to have blood under his lip. He said both individuals had been drinking. The female told the deputy she and the man began to argue after leaving a bar, the report said. She alleged that he had struck her in the face with the back of his hand and she punched him back. The deputy observed her to have swelling on her lip and forehead. She told the deputy they began drinking and arguing again when they returned to the residence, and the man said he was leaving and she locked the door behind him. She said he then knocked and called asking to be let back in, and when she did not unlock the door, he kicked it in. The deputy observed the door lock to be broken. Both were placed into custody. Cody T. Friend, 26, 101 Concord Dr., Wintersville, and Ariel R. DiPasquale, 28, 101 Concord Dr., Wintersville were charged with domestic violence.

Porch pirates: A Dresden Avenue resident reported a package had been taken from his porch, Tuesday. According to the report, the man said a family member saw two males who he had seen around but did not know their names. He told police one approached the house, grabbed one of four packages on the porch valued at $20 to $30, and ran.

Assault: A man claimed he had been assaulted by his apartment building's security manger, Tuesday. The man said he had been confronted about his dog barking and while going to the office, was struck in the chest.

Stolen: A resident of Aberdeen Road reported two men he knows stole approximately $300 from his vehicle in the parking lot of his residence, Tuesday.

Threatened: A North Fifth Street resident reported a man he knew had threatened to shoot and strike him, Tuesday. The man told police another individual had witnessed the encounter.

Cited: Larry Graham, 416 S. Fifth St., public intoxication; Grace G. Blackwell, 711, Oakmont Ave., prohibited parking area, fire lane violation.
