Three’s a crowd: A Toronto woman told deputies her past and current boyfriends had a confrontation after she went on an ATV ride with her ex and had to walk back because the vehicle got stuck in the woods, Tuesday. The woman said when they arrived back at her residence her current boyfriend was there, so she told the ex to leave. She said he left but returned, so her boyfriend shoved him and told him again to leave. The woman told deputies she didn’t want to press charges. When they located the ex-boyfriend, deputies said he was too intoxicated to give them a statement though he did tell them the other man had punched him in the face.

Missing: A .38 Smith & Wesson and a 9 mm handgun are missing from a home in Wintersville, Monday. A male in the household provides security at a church and told them he last saw the guns about 10 days ago. The homeowners said a holster for the 9 mm and two extra magazines were also taken, deputies said.

Steubenville police

Harassed: A woman in the 700 block of North Seventh Street told police she’s getting harassing phone calls from her boyfriend’s mother, Monday. She said the older woman told her she’d set her son up to be arrested. The boyfriend was taken into custody for an alleged assault, but police also found an outstanding warrant against him.

Cited: Lisa M. Altemare, 51, 1208 Arlington Ave., Steubenville, no operator’s license and failure to control. Police said Altemare told them she’d made a left off Mall Drive onto John Scott Highway and lost control of her vehicle, sliding into a ditch.

Damaged: Callers in the 400 block of Clinton Avenue said a man known to them broke a window because they wouldn’t let him in the house, Monday. Police said the window screen was ripped and the glass broken, and the occupants wanted to pursue charges. The man who broke the window injured his hand and showed up at the police station, seeking medical treatment. He told policed he’d slipped, accidentally breaking the window.

Problems: A woman in the 400 block of South Sixth Street said a man was knocking on her door and refused to leave, Monday. Police located the man, who told them the woman’s sister keeps calling him and he’d gone to her house to tell her to leave him alone.

Stolen: A woman stuffed steaks into the waistband of her pants at Maryland Market, Monday. Employees recognized the woman, wearing a black coat with fur on the hood, and said the theft was caught on video. Later in the day, the same woman’s daughter said her mother threw a table and a coffee mug at her during an argument in the 1300 block of Oregon. Police said there was broken glass on the floor and the coffee table flipped on its side. The daughter told police she wants to pursue a domestic violence charge.

Taken: A woman told police she laid her purse down on a table in a North Fourth Street business and went to the restroom, but when she returned it was gone, Monday. She told police she had a couple hundred dollars in cash, credit cards and personal papers in the purse.

Served: Ashley Mathews, 34, 449615 High St., Cadiz, bench warrant, Monday.

Cited: Karen E. Kafton, 59, 525 Shady Lane, Follansbee, speeding.

Arrested: William D. Smallwood, 39, 1533 Euclid Ave., Steubenville, fugitive from justice, Tuesday. Police said Smallwood told them he’d been fighting with a woman throughout the day but she left the residence before they arrived on scene. Smallwood, taken into custody on a warrant out of Allegheny County, Pa., waived extradition Wednesday in Steubenville Municipal Court.

Arrested: Cory R. Wszeborowski, 31, 224 Petrick Ave., Mingo Junction, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence, Tuesday. Police allege Wszeborowski had three needles and a push rod in his possession when he was taken into custody.

Intoxicating: Callers reported an intoxicated male at a gas station on South Third Street, Tuesday. Upon arrival, employees told police the man had pocketed several food items. Police said the man, who had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, had a cheeseburger, four Slim Jims and four sausage-style deli meat packages he hadn’t paid for. The items were valued at under $17.

Bad move: A man trying to hit a woman in the 300 block of Terrace Avenue was attacked by others who were in the residence, Tuesday. He told police he was hit in the head and mouth.

Shots: A caller in the 1300 block of Wellesley Avenue reported hearing shots fired, Tuesday. Officers were unable to find any sign of a disturbance.

Pilfered: A man in the 2800 block of Sunset Boulevard noticed his wallet was missing, Tuesday.

Cited: Ta’Ki J. Green, 29, 327 Woodlawn Road, Steubenville, failure to control. Green, cited following a two-car accident Tuesday in the 1800 block of Sinclair, told police he slid into an oncoming car.
