Out of it: A woman who parked her car in the middle of township Road 216 appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug, deputies said, Wednesday. Officers said her speech was slurred and she was unsure where she was and admitted she had taken two prescription medications in the morning.
Evasive: A Wintersville man allegedly drove through a field and went through stop signs, Wednesday, in a bid to avoid being served with a felony burglary warrant, deputies said. Aaron Daniel Hickle, 41, 347 Patton Ave., Wintersville, was taken into custody on the warrant, with an additional charge of failure to comply pending. Hinkle also was cited for driving under suspension and reckless operation, deputies noted.
Picture this: A Toronto resident selling an item on Facebook called deputies after the buyer complained that she’d been on her porch and a man pulled a gun on them, Wednesday. The homeowner said she has security cameras, and no one had been on her porch, deputies noted.
Booked: Justin Walker, 40, Rodgers, Ohio, failure to appear, Wednesday.
Cited: Adam Wayne Geary, 38, 202 Center Ave., Mingo Junction, improper display of plates.
Green beer: A Girard Avenue woman told police her sister’s ex-boyfriend kicked their door, damaging the frame and trim on the inside of the residence, Wednesday. The two women told police they were out celebrating St. Patrick’s Day when the ex started texting and arguing with them, and said he was waiting for them when they arrived home. The ex was loud and threatening during the ensuing argument, she said, and when they went inside their residence started kicking the door. She said the ex tried to leave before police arrived, so she slashed several of his tires.
Guns: Four spent 9 mm bullet casings were recovered in the alley behind the 1400 block of Oregon Avenue, Wednesday. Several callers had reported hearing shots fired near the 1300 block of Wellesley Avenue, police said. One unspent casing also was recovered.
Family feuding: A resident in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and his cousin each accused the other of stealing, Wednesday. The homeowner told police he’d discovered his Roku was missing and blamed his cousin and her boyfriend, while his cousin claimed he’d taken a lap top gifted to her by her son and was refusing to return it until he got his Roku back. Police advised the pair that their issues would have to be settled in civil court.
Fall: A woman in the 400 block of Linden Avenue with a bloodied nose told police she fell, Wednesday. She refused treatment.
