School concerns: A female at Buckeye Local is facing expulsion after allegedly threatening to shoot another student, Monday. The girl told deputies she was being bullied by the victim and his friends, but he told deputies she’d been picking on a member of his family and he told her to leave. The girl was taken into custody and the school locked down until authorities were sure the situation was under control, deputies said. Deputies said two other girls were taken into custody separately for allegedly using a marijuana-based product in a vaping pen in the girls’ restroom. Charges of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia are pending, they said.
Nervous: An Island Creek township residents told deputies he fired at two dogs he said were running loose in his neighborhood and behaving aggressively, Tuesday. The man said he was in his driveway when he fired the shot, and told deputies he might have hit one of them.
Booked: Eric Allen Wilt, 36, 100 Talbott Drive, Wintersville, was charged with obstructing official business and bribery, Monday. Deputies allege Wilt refused to identify himself or provide contact information for a responsible party when asked, and claim that at one point he offered a deputy cash to let him go.
Persistent A Richmond woman told deputies her abusive ex-boyfriend is trying to get back in her life, bringing her gifts and trying to get to let him in her residence, Tuesday. She said he’s been calling and texting since she broke up with him, and has been jiggling her door knob to see if it’s unlocked.
Seller’s remorse: A Wintersville business owner who’d advertised an ATV for sale on Facebook marketplace said a man who wanted to buy it threatened him when he found out it was no longer available, Tuesday.
Intoxicated: A Cross Creek township woman and her mother were involved in a disturbance, Tuesday. The caller said the two women were intoxicated.

Hoberek, 50, Aliquippa, Pa., failure to comply, Tuesday; Zachary D. Long, 32, 12984 State Route 152, Toronto, probation violation.
Big kick: A homeowner in the 1200 block of Claire Avenue told police two juveniles kicked in their front door, Monday. The residents knew the individuals responsible, police said.
Road rage: A woman told police she followed another driver who’d brandished a knife after an unspecified road rage incident, Monday. The woman said she followed the man’s van to the mall and recorded its registration plate.
Lock it: A Powell Avenue resident said a family member she let in her house tried to take money from her purse, Tuesday. The individual left when police were called.
Attacked: A woman visiting a family member in the 600 block of Pine Valley Drive said her leashed Austrian shepherd was attacked by a neighbor’s pit bull and required treatment, Tuesday. The woman said the neighbors dog was running along chain link fence when it suddenly darted under the fence onto her family member’s yard, charging the leashed dogs.
Booked: Jessica Lynn Stewart, 32, 113 Sullivan Circle, Weirton, was taken into custody on an outstanding bench warrant, Monday. A passenger in her car, Lacy Desaray, 27, 1120 Gilchrist St., Brilliant, also was taken into custody on a bench warrant. Stewart also was cited for driving under suspension

Found: Two baggies believed to contain heroin were found on the floor of a business, Tuesday.
Ticketed: Heather M. Martin, 40, 992 Sherman Ave., Steubenville, was cited for failure to control after a three-vehicle accident, Tuesday. Martin told police her gas pedal stuck, causing her to rear end one vehicle and then strike the bumper of a second vehicle.
