Arrested: Dalton B. Kazlman, 30, 394 Reeves Drive, Wellsburg, possession of a controlled substance, Sunday.
Arrested: Earnest L. Mozingo, 37, 82 May Road, Follansbee, driving under the influence, Saturday.
Arrested: William L. Stevens, 46, 325 Arch St., Follansbee, third-offense driving under the influence and driving while license revoked for DUI, Friday.
Jefferson County sheriff
A Rayland man accidentally shot himself while putting hs gun back in his gun safe, Monday. The man told deputies he had unloaded and disassembled his Glock 19 to install a new slide cover plate, and said he’d reassembled and reloaded the weapon for home defense purposes and as he was putting it back in the safe it discharged.
Booked: Lonnie E. Still Sr., 47, North Seventh St., Steubenville, was charged with domestic violence, Monday. His alleged victim said he’d asked her to create a Facebook profile for him, but when she found out he was using it to message other women she told him she didn’t like it, He told her to delete it so she did, but then said he woke her up by slapping her in the face and yelling at her for deleting the profile.
Caught: A Union Avenue man returned home to find his girlfriend cheating on him with their next-door neighbor, Monday. Neither of them would come to the door to discuss the situation, police said.
Drug problem: A female transported to Trinity West by a concerned family member caused a disturbance, Monday. Police said the woman was behaving belligerently and appeared to be under the influence of drugs. She admitted she’d been smoking meth, he said.
Yelling: A Union Avenue resident complained to police about a disturbance, but when they arrived on scene, officers said all was quiet, Monday. They tried to speak with the complainant but said he was highly intoxicated and they couldn’t understand what he was yelling about. They advised him to stay inside for the night.
