Steubenville police

Charged: Cynthia Barker, 41, 412 Ohio St., petit theft, Friday; Tammy L. Hendrix, 50, 2508 Sunset Blvd., contempt and petit theft, Friday; Royce Brown, 54, no fixed address, petit theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, Friday; Bethany Van Dyke, 28, 626 15th St., Wellsville, petit theft, Friday; Marcus Gibson, 37, Cadiz, failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia, Saturday; Seneca A. Fullerton, 25, Pittsburgh, trespassing, Saturday.

Arrested: Alexandra White, 30, 215 North Fifth St., Toronto, driving under the influence and possession of drugs, Saturday.

Feuding roommates: Police were called following a dispute Saturday afternoon between roommates living on Oxford Boulevard. One said after she unscrewed a padlock door to access a bottle of juice, the other became irate, accusing her of taking food that belonged to her. The first woman said the other approached her screaming so she pushed the other out of her room, causing her to fall. The second woman said the other shoved her to the floor. Police observed small cuts on the second woman's hand but she declined treatment. They said neither wanted to leave, so they advised them to avoid each other.

Charged: Larry Drake Jr., 42, 317 South Seventh St., possession of a drug abuse instrument and permitting drug abuse, Sunday; Melissa Kersey, 40, 317 South Seventh St., possession of drugs and a drug abuse instrument, Sunday; Donald Moore Jr., 37, 1201 Oakgrove Ave., domestic violence, Sunday; Kevin Medly, 35, 1540 Oregon Ave., driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, Sunday.

A brief encounter: A woman living on Opal Boulevard told police a male visitor threatened to shoot her and her dog, Saturday. The man said when he arrived and his dog got out of his vehicle, her dog bit it, but he denied threatening her. She asked him to leave, and he agreed.

Good Samaritan: A man turned in a debit card he found in an automated teller machine on South Fourth Street Saturday afternoon.

Attempted: A resident of the 700 block of McDowell Avenue said he returned home Saturday night to find his front door heavily damaged.

Shots fired: Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Homewood Avenue at about 9:13 p.m. Saturday but found nothing.

Arrested: Christopher Larkins, 51, 912 Washington St., Bergholz, domestic violence, Friday.

Vandalism: The concession stand at Bill Mazeroski Park in Rayland was broken into on Friday. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
