Incident: A Sunset Boulevard resident said her ex-boyfriend threw her cat and a deceased family member's things out of her back window, punched two holes in her television and threatened to kill her, Monday. She said he also made a point of telling her he "knows where her (other children) go to school."

Fork in the road: A Union Avenue resident wanted her live-in fiance to leave their home after what she said was a purely verbal argument, Monday. While she was talking with the police, her fiance walked out without a shirt, and the officer noticed he had a "scratch mark and a small puncture mark on his stomach." He "politely" refused to tell police what happened but did tell the woman "It was wrong of her to throw a fork at him," police said.

Booted: A man returned to the City Rescue Mission intoxicated and when he wasn't permitted to go into another resident's room "he became angry and threw milk at" the staff person, police said. The staff member said she tried to walk away but he held the door closed, so she called police. Cye Gelegonya, 23, no fixed address, was cited for disorderly while intoxicated and told to leave the mission and not return, police said. Gelegonya told them he "was being rude because he needed to bum a cigarette from the other resident."

Pointed the finger: A man "sweating profusely and running around screaming nonsense" was causing a disturbance at the midtown Speedway, Monday. Police said they identified the male "but ... could not get any other information from him (as he) was clearly under the influence of a narcotic and would not follow simple commands." The driver of the car he'd been traveling in said he didn't see him take anything, and told police two plastic bags filled with a white powder in the passenger side cup holder, a vial in another small bag in a book bag on the back seat and a scale with residue all belonged to his passenger, identified as Alfonso Serra, 45, 3270 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Serra was charged with possession of drugs. Police said the substances tested positive for fentanyl and cocaine.

Deep pockets: A manager told police a male was believed to be concealing merchandise and left the store without purchasing anything, Monday. The male was spotted not far away but denied any involvement in a theft, police said. The officer walked away for several seconds to pass the information along to dispatch and when he returned, saw store merchandise on the ground where he was seated. The man denied knowing where the items came from, and since they didn't have access to the video at that time they had to let him go.

Tone deaf: Police were asked to tell a man playing his violin in the Hollywood Plaza parking lot and asking people for money he needed to leave the property, Monday. He was advised not to return.

Escape artist: A caller reported a white female in a red hat who "seemed to be under the influence" in the 2300 block of Sunset Boulevard, but when police checked the area, she was nowhere to be found.

Booked: Shane Young, 43, 1423 Ridge Ave., Steubenville, disorderly while intoxicated, Friday. Young had originally been booked into the county jail on a probation violation Thursday, but he was released earlier in the day. This time, callers reported seeing him behaving erratically, and people were calling about "an intoxicated male knocking on doors and acting erratically,

Pointless: Union Avenue residents said their car window was broken overnight, Saturday. Nothing appeared to be missing, they said.

Gang of five: Witnesses said five females walking from the 300 block of Lawson Avenue to Sunset Boulevard were arguing, Thursday. Officers spotted three of the women, one with a juvenile daughter. All of them advised the other female involved was walking home, and said she'd been arguing inside their Plum Street residence and refused to leave when asked, so they escorted her about halfway to her home.

Trashy tenant: An Oregon Avenue landlord said his now-departed tenant left his rental property "in total disarray, including breaking several doors and removing appliances." A stove and refrigerator valued at $1,200 were stolen, the landlord said.

Ex trouble: A Broadway Boulevard resident told police he'd had an argument with his soon-to-be-ex-wife and said she locked the doors and windows then left with the keys, June 7. He said he still lives there but only wanted the incident documented in case his ex tries to file charges against him for breaking in. Police told him he's allowed to enter his home by any means necessary, but he chose not to break a window to get in.
