Steubenville Police Charged: A city resident was booked into the county jail after his live-in companion alleged he’d slapped her face “and then grabbed packing tape and attempted to wrap it around her face to stop her from screaming,” Wednesday. The female who was being followed said he didn’t say anything to her or try anything with her or the kids. She said she had no idea who he was and lost sight of him in the 400 block of Logan Ave. Police said they spotted the man “stumbling in and out of the roadway” and reported he wouldn’t answer questions.
